Coral Island
This island off Phuket's south coast is so well known
for its coral reef that it is often referred to simply
as Coral Island. In additioin to the splendid reefs
there are two fine beaches on the north and west. Koh
Hey is part of a marne preserve, but accommodations,
restaurants, various watersports and diving are all
available. Tourist can arrive there by boat, depart
from Chalong and Rawai Pier.

Phang-nga Bay
Because of its fascinating seacape and its short
distance (75 km by road or 3 hours by boat0 from
Phuket, Phang-Nga is usually visited by tourists
of Phuket. The bay is attractive for ots numerous
weird limestone outcrops and cliff islets rising
from the sea. This place became more famous after
the James Bond adventure '"The Man with the
Golden Gun" was partly filmed here.

Koh Pannyi (Sea Gypsy Island)
This is a remarkable village, the whole of it built
out over water on stilts and with a giant rock monolith
guarding its rear. At lunch times, up to 3,000 tourists
on the James Bond Island tours are brought in to eat
and shop for handicrafts. As soon as tourists leave,
the community of its restaurants and trinket shops and
transforms itself from a tourist trap into a quiet community
of fisherman.

Phi Phi Islands
This island is very much beautiful for sea lover,
snorkeling and swimming, and makes a fine day-trip
destination out of Phuket. The beauty of the two
Phi Phi Island has made them world famous. But
fame and easy access (Phi Phi is only a 45 minutes
jaunt from Phuket. Most of boat depart from Phuket
around 10 a.m. in the morning. Staying the evening
at one of the many bungalows in the island is
recommended, if you want to enjoy the tranquility
of the island in the early morning and evening.

Koh Khai
This pair of islands can be reached from Koh Sirey in
Phuket about 35 min. Called Koh Khai Nok and Koh Khai
Nai, the islands are known for their beautiful rocks,
carals, and secluded beaches. Also of interest in Phang-nga
Bay National Park are the mangrove forests and swamps,
cut by twisting channels, that line the mainland shores.

Similan Nation Park
A group of 9 small islands, 50 kms off the west
coast of Phang-Nga in the Andaman Sea. The Nation
Park covers an area of 80,000 Rai. Skin Diving
Magazine rates them among the ten loveliest places
on Earth, because of the great natural beauty
found on the islands themselves and also because
of the extensive surrounding coral gardens beneath
the waves. The islands are undeveloped and unspoiled;
numerous species of fishes, crustaceans, and other
forms of the sea-life abound;water clarity and
diving are excellent.
