Temples
Many ancient temples, which were built in the
ancient time in Lanna style architecture could
been found almost everywhere in Chiang Mai. The
most famous one is Wat Phra Borommathat Doi Suthep
on Doi Suthep. There is a large golden pagoda
in the center of the temple containing a part
of the holy relics of the Lord Buddha. It is a
holy spot visited throughout the year by Budhist
pilgrims from all over the world. This temple
was built by King Gue-Na in 1383 A.D. Via the
route to this temple, you'll see Khruba Siwichai
Monument which was built to commemorate Khruba
Sivichai who initiated a plan to construct a hillside
road to the monastery on Doi Suthep.

Royal Angkhang Research Station
Doi Angkhang is a three hours drive from ChiangMai,
where the project for developing a wider variety of
marketable produce for the local hill tribe was set
up in 1969, under the auspices of His Majesty the King.
Today, it's very popular for more adventurous, there're
guesthouse and small hotel for visitors.

Mountains
According to its location in the high land of
the country, Chiang Mai has a lot of beautiful
mountains which is suit for an adventure and Eco-tourism
like Dry Hill Evergreen forest in the Mae Pan
Falls area. This area is quiet and can be described
as the backcountry of Doi Inthanon Park. It offers
a rewarding loop hike of one or two hours through
untouched terrain with small waterfalls and tumbling
creeks along most of the route.
Another famous mountain is Doi Pui Nation Park,
which covered the three areas Mar Rim, Hang Dong,
and Maung district. Another most famous is Doi
Inthanon. This hill situated in the area of three
Amphoes; Chom Thong, San pa Tong and Mae Chaem
and covers some 1,005 sq.kms. It offers marvellous
natural scenery. Shooting, fishing and causing
damange ot trees and plants are strictly forbidden

Waterfall
There are many famous waterfalls in Chiang Mai, likes
Namtok Huai Kaeo, a waterfall near Chiang Mai Zoo, 6
kms from town. It is delightful atmosphere makes it
the ideal place for picnics. Because of it rich in nature
preserved forest area, then the waterfalls here is much
beautiful which a high water fallen down like Mae Ya
and Mae Klang waterfalls.
